MOVING COLORS is an International Contemporary Dance Festival for children and young people that was first staged in September 2019 by the artistic company Dan.c.ce Unitiva.

The festival does not present “children’s” dance performances, but rather works of contemporary dance with themes and content that primarily addresses youngsters aged 8 to 18, but also adults.

To date, MOVING COLORS is the only contemporary dance festival in Greece that is mainly aimed at young audiences. Drawing from its cooperation and interaction developed over the years with festival counterparts abroad, as well as with the European dance network Aerowaves, Dan.c.ce Unitiva presents to the young public of Greece – and their families – a series of works created by renowned choreographers from Greece and abroad with a fresh and modern choreographic approach.

Each year the festival presents topics that greatly matter to children and teenagers: equality and human rights, freedom of expression, bullying elimination, the right of self-determination, social inclusion along with others.

ENTRY & SECURITY
All children must be accompanied by a guardian who is responsible for their safety.

DAN.C.CE Unitiva has been promoting contemporary Greek choreographic creation nationally and internationally since 2008. It presents and promotes dance performances, artistic actions in public spaces and workshops led by national and international artists addressing professional and amateur dancers. Since 2008 DAN.C.CE Unitiva organizes ARC FOR DANCE FESTIVAL, an international dance festival and since 2019, it presents the Moving Colors Festival, an international contemporary dance festival for children and young people. DAN.C.CE Unitiva is a member of the European dance network Aerowaves since 2014.
